KUSA – During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, there are many new trends in the breast-imaging field that are either impacting patients now or could impact potential patients in the future.
Breast cancer can be scary, and knowledge can be empowering.
Dr. Jerome Schroeder is a fellowship-trained breast imager. He has been a radiologist for 16 years and is a partner at Diversified Radiology of Colorado. Diversified Radiology is a private practice of 65 radiologists with expertise in all areas of diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology.
Dr. Schroeder is also the director of imaging at the Breast Care Center at Exempla St. Joseph Hospital in Denver.
Dr. Schroeder talked about breast imaging on 9NEWS Monday afternoon. He talked about the various terms for imaging and the many options for imaging centers in the area. Because of healthreform, patients are going to become more involved with their health-care decisions, including radiology.
