These have a high incidence of associated anomalies: Dandy Walker, Walker Warberg, Meckel Gruber, ACC, interhemispheric cyst, holoprosencephaly to name a few. MRI is usually ordered to look for associated abnormalities and to locate the dural venous sinuses in relation to the cephalocele prior to resection.
