History: 56-year-old gentleman with “intermittent sinus congestion, which he thinks is exacerbated by surfing and is improved with sinus rinses after surfing.”
Exostosis of External Auditory Canal (Surfer’s Ear)
- Bilateral circumferential narrowing of the EAC in someone who is repeatedly exposed to cold water.
- Can cause conductive hearing loss if severe.
- Ddx: osteoma.
